Terms for the reading room

Who can join
ReadRex is a general-audience service for people aged 13 and older. Do not create or use an account if you are under 13. You must also meet any higher age or authorization requirements that apply where you live. If you are below the age of legal adulthood, obtain a parent or guardian’s permission where required. Parent permission does not make an under-13 child eligible.
Your account
ReadRex is operated by Aaron Bailey. Use your own supported sign-in account, keep access to it secure, and provide accurate eligibility information. Your library belongs to your account. The Privacy Policy explains what the service stores and your export and deletion controls.
Content and sharing
Save and share only material you are entitled to use in that way. You keep any rights you have in your original notes and recommendations. You give ReadRex permission to store, process and display that material only as needed to provide the service according to your privacy choices. This permission does not make private notes public.
A link, subscription, gift link or publicly accessible page does not automatically grant permission to copy or republish an article. A reading copy is for your own lawful reading; it is not permission to distribute the work. Respect publisher restrictions and do not bypass access controls. ReadRex may disable a hosted copy or reference in response to rights concerns. The Copyright Policy explains notices, counter-notices and repeat infringement.
A considerate reading room
Do not harass people, post private information about others, impersonate someone, spam, infringe rights, or interfere with the service. Write recommendations in your own words. You can report content from its menu and block another reader.
Account restrictions and review
ReadRex may restrict or terminate participation for violations, including repeat infringement in appropriate circumstances. Reports are reviewed in context; a report alone is not proof of infringement. Where appropriate we notify the affected reader and explain how to request review. A restricted reader can sign in to account access to export their library or delete their account. Restoring participation does not automatically reshare earlier items.
Cost and availability
ReadRex is currently free. There is no subscription or automatic renewal. Operating limits can pause some features. The service may change; keep your own export of important information. New charges would require a separate offer and your agreement.
