A read-later list you’ll want to return to.

A good read-later list gives interesting finds somewhere to land. It also makes the next choice easier: an article for a short break, a podcast for a walk, or the book you want to return to tonight.

Give each find a home

Save the original link in ReadRex, or add a book. Check the title and format so you can recognize it later. A private note can hold a small reminder: who mentioned it, what caught your attention, or why you want to come back.

New saves start on Up next with Only me visibility. You can choose a Friends default in preferences or change visibility for each save.

Keep Up next for what comes next

Up next holds things you plan to read, watch or listen to, including items you have started. Finished holds what you have completed. You can save something directly to Finished if you have already read it.

This keeps your reading history available without mixing it into every decision about what to open next.

Choose something for the time you have

Use the length filter to find items that fit a shorter break or a longer session. Durations are not available for every item. ReadRex keeps unknown lengths separate rather than treating them as quick reads.

You can also narrow your list by format or search for a title, creator, note or tag. Start with a small decision: what would you enjoy right now?

Finish deliberately

Mark an item Finished when you are done. Opening a link does not mark it finished for you. Add a rating or, for books, optional reading dates if those details help you remember it.

Finishing and recommending are separate choices. You can complete a book without recommending it, or recommend an article you are still reading. Learn more about sharing recommendations with friends.

Make room for changing interests

Occasionally review Up next. Keep what still interests you and remove what no longer does. Your list is there to support your curiosity; it does not need to become an assignment.
