About ReadRex.

ReadRex at readrex.com is an independent reading app created and operated by Aaron Bailey. It gives articles, books, podcasts and other good finds a place to wait until you have time for them.

A reading room with an end to the feed

ReadRex grew out of a personal wish: spend less time scrolling social feeds and more time with things worth reading, listening to or watching. Useful recommendations arrive from friends, publishers and conversations. Keeping them together should make the next choice easier.

The app combines a private reading list with deliberate discovery. Up next holds what you plan to return to. Finished remembers what you completed. Recommendations come from approved friends and sources you choose, in finite batches shaped by explicit preferences.

A few decisions that define ReadRex

  • Start private. New saves default to Only me. Sharing a shelf item and recommending it are separate choices.
  • Keep your own context. Private notes and tags help you remember why something interested you; friends do not receive them.
  • Choose your sources. Your interests and preferences guide discovery. Reading and finishing never silently endorse an item.
  • Keep the original. Publisher links and access rules remain important. A saved link does not promise a complete offline copy.

How ReadRex works explains the formats, privacy controls and offline limits. The mixed-format reading list guide shows the app with fictional sample content before you sign in.
